The Write Life

"The Write Life" is a songwriting education and therapy program developed by Alvin Garrett. Using his own innovative songwriting techniques, Garrett not only teaches the art of songwriting, he teaches life management skills, effective communication, and emotional maturity. Currently, “The Write Life” partners with one of the country’s leading reentry programs, The Dannon Project, to provide this highly effective supplemental program for their life-changing organization. Participants are welcome to express themselves in an authentic way; however #TheWriteLife challenge is for them “write” their lives with control, intent, and positivity as opposed to impulsivity.
